No, however we do recommend that you contact your private health insurance company as they may require a medical referral (referral by a Doctor) to authorise reimbursement of treatment charges.

Yes, if the physiotherapist is Chartered (a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists) and State registered. It is important to check with your insurance for any special limits to reimbursement.
Q IS PHYSIOTHERAPY SUITABLE FOR BACK AND NECK PROBLEMS OR IS IT ONLY FOR MUSCLE INJURIES?
Chartered Physiotherapists are qualified to treat all spinal problems.

Yes, chartered physiotherapists with the appropriate post-graduate training are qualified to manipulate.

Your initial assessment will last up to 45 minutes and the subsequent follow-up treatment sessions will last about 30 minutes.
Q SHOULD I BRING MY X-RAYS WITH ME?
Yes, please bring any information you have regarding your problem (such as a doctor's referral letter, X-rays, MRI scans etc...)
Q HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
The number of sessions needed varies from person to person, depending on the nature of the problem, and how long the symptoms have been present. The physiotherapist will be able to advise you after the initial consultation.
